I know this is not the most important thing to be doing now…but it keeps my mind sharp to do small stuff which is non relevant or non-impactful when I’m done working for the day.

And so, I present these models as such a thing. Useful tiny projects which I built during the outbreak and which made my life easier.

1st Sanitiser/soap dispenser

This model allows you to dispense soap (also sanitiser but soap is ideally better) when your hands are dirty. It’s designed to allow the soap water to fall “freely” for some miliseconds (or splash) the handle that the soap, therefore sanitising it from viruses and bacteria too.

Model of the 3d printable hand cleaner

Model assembled

Notes: This is still on the make as I’m refining the handle actioning mechanism and simplifying the model.

3d printable files can be downloaded [@Thingiverse]() or [@Prusa3d]()

Models can be found in this link.

Status: ironing details

** Pending improvements: - Add a timer screen with 20 seconds on it. So when you press the dispenser it delays for 800 miliseconds and then starts counting down for 20 seconds. - No beeping of the timer. - Screen should be watertight and work by mechanical pressure, when the dispenser is pressed a knob or extrusion should press the button on the timer. - Screen should be facing the user.

2nd Gloves sanitiser

True - You could use the first model for this. However, loads of people don’t have access easily to running water to do it. This is a way to decrease the chance of germ spreading in your home as well.

It also allows silicone gloves to be reused when there are none.

Status: ideation. On the meantime you can do the same with two small buckets of water, soap, degreasser and 5 drops of bleach.

3rd Pill dispenser

You need to keep yourself healthy. Since lots of people are quarantined and can’t go out (or at least should not) you get the need of taking supplements. Same applies to health and key workers. Since taking pills of different types in different pots is a pain - I’ve started creating a system to dispense them. You can either group them by type, or by what you need to take

Print two more rows (or as many as you need) if you take pills after each meal.

Status: On the make.

Here are some extra models we found that are relevant or interesting.

Mask adjuster Mask designed for day to day use

Come back to this page often as we will keep on adding more models relevant to staying safe during the outbrake. You can print all of those (or someone you know with a 3d printer can do it for you) at home easily.

Please if you find this post useful, share it with everyone as we can be saving lives.
